Default Tachometer removal

Hi guys so I have bought a yellow ex JCB 2005 ford ranger.

I just removed the tachometer thinking ah just cut wires and pull it out. My bad lol my odometer now is not working so I'm assuming this wire goes to the ECU? I traced it under the hood but it went down behind the engine does anyone know how I can fix my problem? With pictures? Thanks in advance.

Ps

Smaller problems no air-conditioning revs change when I press switch.
Can you make the key one. Ie not a fob and key?
