Donor car to swap out engin
I found a donor car to do a powertrain swap it has 135000 on the engine and trans.
Is this high mileage for a donor engine?
Is there anything I should do or look for while the engine is out?
I'm swapping a 3.0 with a 4.0 on same vehicle year.

It would be the same as doing a 5.0 swap. You'll need the Ecm, pats module, ignition, keys, motor, trans, transfer case. All of the wiring should be plug and play. You're gonna hear it more than once, but for the work, it would be more beneficial to do the 5.0. I know you already got the donor, but if you're gonna do the work, no sense doing it twice. That's just me though! Either way, good luck and it's not that difficult. Mark every wire and vacuum line, they'll match up with the donor!

I saw your swap, and you did a good job.
Is there room in there to do normal maintenance? Like getting to the spark plugs.
On the donor motor, should I have the heads done or anything else .

I've got plenty of room, take out the inner fender well and you can work on about anything from above the tire! Haha. If you have the time and money, it would be a good idea to do all the gaskets you can get to. Timing chain, all that hard to reach shit.lol.

ecm is the computer also called the pcm, either one engine/powertrain control module. And the PATS, is the passive anti theft system. One little controller box behind the passenger side air bag, the ring around the ignition or the whole column, and the keys to the donor are all needed.
