Default Where is the rear main seal located on a 2 wheel drive ranger?

I have a 2007 ford ranger that is 2 wheel drive. I recently noticed under my truck there is a seal with a wet spot around it. No dripping but some wetness or seeping for sure. Not sure what the seal is called though if it is the rear main seal or something else. My seeping spot is located under the dashboard area. Any thoughts about where the main seal is and what my seal is?

2.3l engine the wet spot is in the front but behind the front axle, basicly under the dashboard in the center of the truck. And it isn't dripping or wet on the ground just on the metal itself.

The rear main seal is between the motor and the bellhousing of the transmission

Here's a Google image of the underside of a ranger. The transmission is removed. The shiny metallic ring you can see is where the transmission mounts to the back of the motor. That is where the rear main seal is.

To remove the transmission in your truck you need to first disconnect battery then:
1. Remove rear driveshaft (12mm 12 pt)
2. Remove starter
3. Remove catalytic converter (not necessary but makes a ton easier)
4. Manually turn motor to remove 4 flywheel bolts
5. Strap up the rear end of trans
6. Remove rear trans mount till strap is holding weight up.
7. Get a buddy
8. Remove bellhousing bolts the 2 on top are a PITA
9. Pull trans straight back towards rear end till off dowels.
10. Don't drop it on yourself. It'll hurt. And slowly lower to ground. Have buddy lowering the rear strap

Notes: they weigh about 90 lbs so a buddy is AWESOME. You will lose a bunch of ATF. Replace that, it is also liquid gold ($$$). And DO NOT DROP THE TORQUE CONVERTER. They're expensive. A good 3/8 impact will make this job take half the time. Doing your own work will save you prolly $1000 but like I said in your other thread if it's just a seep it's not worth the trouble for you or a shop to do
