Hey my friend is going to be doing an engine swap on his dodge 1500 and he said I could take the engine and drivetrain, how hard would it be to put it in my ranger? I have a 1994 ranger XLT 3.0 auto currently but it just broke 200k miles and the 3.7 my friend has doesn't even have 100k on it. He also said I could take the radiator, air intake etc etc etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has done this before or would have any idea how long it should take, I'm doing it with a friend who regularly does engine swaps on his cars I'm just trying to get some opinions! Thanks!

When your friend does "engine swaps", are they on Hondas? Because engine swaps on Hondas are nothing compared to an engine swap like you're referring to.

No because you will need almost half of the truck.

Why would you want to? That 3.7 is garbage. Hands down one of the worst engines dodge ever made.

Ah it seems a bit unrealistic, I just liked the quick acceleration it has (compared to my 3.0l) but it's not worth the effort when my engine is fine. Thanks guys, I'll look more into a bigger engine from an explorer or something!
