Default 3.5 eco boost!?!

So I was thinking.. I have a 3.0ranger with some general mods, and I thought about doing a 4.0 swap or even a 5.0! But then I thought that both would require some pretty extensive mods and the mpg would drop... Sooo what about the 3.5 Eco boost? It's got pretty good power upgrades and the gas it really good to. Not to mention the swapped engine is similar size.

Has anyone else thought of this and or done it??
If you have any thoughts or insist I would love to hear what yall think!!

unless you've got extensive knowledge and deep pockets, this swap is virtually impossible. Easiest would be a 4.0 or 5.0w. And the 3.5 Eco may be similar displacement but actual size including turbo stuff is massive compared to a 4.0/3.0. I mean it takes up a ton of space in the giant f150's and doesn't fit in any other ford vehicle below the f series

An ecoboost 3.5 will run you 7k with a transmission .

3.7 would be a far cheaper option since it will fit in the engine bay with much less modification.

You can build the crap out of a 4.0 or 5.0 for less than an ecoboost swap, and make more power.

Stay away from the early years. Due to chain stretching.

the 5.0 is small. It fits in the 95-01 explorer engine bays which are the same size as a Rangers. It's actually such a common swap that I am doing it.

It's gonna take some time to do the swap you most likely will run into kinks

I'm expecting some but hopefully it's minuscule.

X3. Buddy of mine bought his wife a Lincoln with one; it scoots along pretty good and the look on her face when she's getting on it is great! The part about a giant F150 engine bay is hilarious in light of what an actual, giant engine bay really is.
