Default will a frontwheel drive Mercury motor fit into a rear wheel drive Ranger?

Villager v6 into 4cyl ford ranger ? I have a Mercury villager frontwheel drive V6 Motor which is automatic also and I want to put it in a rearwheel drive 4cyl ford ranger,will it fit and if so what changes besides motormounts and flywheel do i have to make? Thank you ,Waupee

you would be better off just building a nice little 4.0 or a bad ass 302 but you can put that in but its a lot of work good luck
