If a volvo is a tank just think how fast it will go with so much less weight.
The factory engine is rated about 270 hp.
After I'm done I will be shooting for about 400 hp.

Man if only i had no emissions around here. California has to ruin it for all us normal people id give my right arm for a monster engine in my ranger if i didn't need it to shift gears! All those engines sound like good candidates. However I'm a purist so for me it would have to be ford in to ford lol.

Yeah i had definitely considered it but they are nuts with the referee tests and such around here I've pretty much decided to trade for a younger more capable vehicle to build I'm looking at marauders and mustangs at the moment. So many miles on my truck now that I'm sure any decent power would start breaking things so I'm just going to trade up lol.

Playing with the engine today.
It's so light I can pick it up by hand and move it.
The stock turbos are tiny. I will be getting the t5 adapter in about a month so I can do a test fit.

Just a update.
Still working on this. I been looking for a volvo 960 oil pan, because I need the rear sump.
I have spent too much money on my rims and t5 trans. But hopefully I will make some more progress in the next couple months. As I'm picking pick a complete 960 to use for parts.
I will be starting the engine tear down next week and will post pics.

Well it's been sometime.
I finished the volvo engine but I sold it to a volvo guy for too much money.
With the money I ordered a aussie 4.0l dohc i6.
Non turbo out of a 2008 ford falcon.
It just arrived the other day. It's cool.

It came with the complete car wiring harness.
I will be starting on it soon.
