Default MICE!! mice ate the air filter and i think particles may have been suck into engine i

Air filter particles in engine????Hopped in to the truck today for the first time in 4 weeks after about 15 min. the noO/D light comes on, then the engine stalls. after a min. it starts up sort of O.K. but then stall again after about 1/2 mile. I check under the hood and find that the air filter has been eaten by mice.now I am worried, how far did the paper particles make it into the engine and what damage has been done?

I doubt any serious damage will come from the filter thing. I'd be more concerned with what else they have chewed on without you noticing (like wires or vacuum hoses). If your overdrive off light is on, it's not because if that filter.

I had a boss who stored his BMW in our uncooled warehouse because he thought that it would be better than in his home garage. Mice during the winter still ate through electrical wires, his air and fuel filters, and anything else they could. All told $5000 in damages, and he needed to file an insurance claim.
