Before any one flips out or asks the question no i didnt get rid of my truck i plan on fliping the car. Now on to the jnfo.

Its a 1981 240D it needs a few things here and there, milage is unknown as the gauge cluster has been replaced but as far as my friend and i can tell the engine and trans are in good condition for how old the thing is, paint is in really good condition needs to have a full detail done badly (i.e. claybar wax and polish).

Things it needs/needs fixing
-Front roters and pads
-Glow plugs
-Passenger window doesn't move
-Driver side window is off track but works
-Driver side wiper linkage is busted or disconnected
-new v belt
-alignment
-1 used tire
-and figure out why the rear driver side door wont open
-full interior clean its pretty bad

Me and my best friend bought this car split what goes into it and then split the profit.
Our budget is $500 but i don see us putting know more than $200 or $300 at the most.
Bought the car for $400 and hope to sell for around $2300-$2700
Ill try and get more pics monday when i go back over to where i have the car parked.

Rotors and brakes will be higher than a ranger
Glow plugs I dont know

Pray that you don't find anymore broken parts

Oh and a buyer willing to pay more than 1500$ for it

Old Mercs can be hard to sell but if it's a diesel Mabye advertise as a possible veg/grease bio diesel

Edit found rotors for 22.70 online

naw my friend that i went in with works at oreilys so we can gets parts at cost. the roters are $42 and some change a piece but they might be turn able

My friend try sellin his 1984 300d for a year

People who didn't know much about em thought they were maintance hogs and expensive like all Mercedes

People who knew what they were wanted to pay $1000 for it

He just ended up keeping it

its not a bad car but i dont think i would want to keep it

thanks man i hope it does to. Theres about a 98% chance we cant loose anything on it as the moter alone is worth $750-1000 trans maybe $300 and the body will salvage for $350 so we could always fall back on that
