All in all, this looks like a vintage Harley in mint condition. Why do the prices people are throwing out seem so low?

90's are not vintage. Lol. Theres really nothig special about a mass produced bike. The only reason they fetch as much as they do is because of the name.

Because there is a market of people willing to pay for that name. If I was him I would start at 9k. The 6.5k start is a laugh.

No one in their right mind would even look at a 91 Harley for $9k, when you can buy early 2000's models for that price.....

I couldn't find any 2000's for even close to that here. Just depends on each market. Research on local prices is his best starting point.

Come to MT. Theyre all over here. Lol. I agree though, every market is different. Nada is a good way to get an idea of what its worth, but looking at what theyve sold for in your area is the only real way to know what its worth.

When you can get a new harley for 15k why in the hell would you buy a 22 year old bike for 9k. Im sorry, going prices on these are 6-7k. He could get lucky and find the right person to buy it, but he could also be sitting on it for a while.

This isnt like the 90's when these bikes commanded a good price, sometimes more than a new one.
