My dad had a 78 ford with a 300-6 and a T-18 4spd. 4x4 with a big ol steel flatbed on it when we were growing up. That thing just always went. He gave it to my brother and he drove the piss out of it, it was geared really low. Thing cruise around 4.5k rpms at 55, well my brother constantly drove it at 70 or better. Thing never blew up tho.

yeah sounds about right, my 94 splash has 253,000 miles on it and still is almost completely stock. (drive train) still has the stock drum brakes. runs great and engine is super strong.

1992 Honda Accord EXR with the 2.2L

Towed a trailer for 600 miles and back no issue ( no transmission cooler, didnt burn any oil and still had power to overtake). It only died when the timing belt fell of the pulley, but even after that it still ran for about 4 months (it had a rough idle and lacked some power due to lack of compression on cylinder 3 and damaged valves) till it got a final heart attack and didnt start or crank one day. died at a tough 317,000 KMS

I want to say the Ranger but havent had it long enough but in one year, I have had 3 oil changes and thats it, no other issues

Hate it, but gotta love my father-in-law's 93 Chevy 2500 with about 550K+ miles. Too many times we shoulda been dead in it and it still runs like a beast. Drove it off a 40-50 foot cliff drunk and landed on the banking perfectly smooth and he drove onto the road like nothing happened. Had it stuck on it's side in a back trail where i could touch the ground when i stuck my arm out. we had one strap and hooked it to a tree and cranked it as much as we could and he drove (sideways) and flipped it back up. That one was scary since we had no cells and about 6 miles away from anything. One of his old buddies made a, let's say "bad" decision, and we drove up in his driveway a few nights later after some Capt'n&Coke at about 40 mph and he slammed this guy's riding mower a good 30 feet away and just made a dent the size of a baseball in it bumper/plate. should post some pics up of it. he bought it brand new and it's still running like a champ besides some dents and shit

I had a 86 ford tempo for a work car it had over 220.000 miles on it. I never changed the oil just added to it never had to put money into the car. I sold it to my brother for $400 he put another 60,000 on the car before he sold it and it still ran.

187k on my 02 when I traded it in. Original everything except for crank sensor. Not a thing wrong with it. Wish I would have never got rid of it

My 1997 chevy K1500, has been floated down creek, outrun many cops, threw feilds, ditches, gravel rds, has been shot about 200 times with everything from MP5 to beltfed M2HB .50 cals and one rnd from 40 MM grenade launcher. Gets oil changed every 4 or 5 yrs....need it or not. Has dead battery and flat tires but starts up if jumped and drives anywhere, and with all the bullet holes/schrapnel, it whistles when it drives down the rd HA
