I'm a Seattle fan hands down, but I'm biased, really you can't go wrong either way. Get ahold of Mary to take you to Pyramid by Safeco Field. Or there is Widmer brothers down in Portland, by step brothers down there are in love with their brews. Thats just my .02 cents

Dick's Brewery in Centralia is awesome too. That's hometown for me, I don't know if they do tours, but if you like Guiness they have Dick's Danger Ale that is a dark beer, it's awesome. We also have the Oly Club downtown Centralia, they are part of a chain called Mcminnimans or something like that, they have awesome food and great beers brewed in house or at their own brewery!! Centralia is halfway between Seattle and Portland if you make it a two parter.

Yeah we love dark beers guiness is a fav. We dont care bout doing a tour of the pub or brewery we just calling it a microbrew tour. Kinda like when all the wifes get together and go to try all the wines at different wineries. Basically just an excuse to get out of town and go drink good beer

Pyramid in Seattle and Red Hook in Redmond (about 30 min from Seattle). There are also a handful of winerys by Red Hook if you're interested in those... either way I wanna tag along though!! haha

There are also a bunch of small breweries in the general Seattle area... no big names so no facility tours (not sure if you wanted that anyway) but there are a good number of them...
