My favorite one was a street that only a right turn was possible. I was driving a rig. Now the way the street is setup is this. People to my right can only turn left. People coming from their left can only go right. In order to take the turn it has to be wide. Hence a right turn in a tractor-trailer. However the only way to take the turn is by crossing into the opposite lane. So that means the tractor-trailer has to yield to the other vehicles. So I am sitting there waiting to take my turn, right turn signal on. So what do the dickheads behind me do? They cut around me even though they cannot see whats coming. There was a small airfield and a large fence around it. Bunch of dicks. The turn looked and L, but with the bottom part on top coming from the right.

Yes it has become really bad lately. It is really bad over in New York and New Jersey. It seems the Class A cdl is now like the Class D auto license. They are giving them away like it is going out of style. I am more often seeing tractor-trailers pulling four wheeler maneuvers. Tail gating, speeding, no turn signals, etc. Thats how you know it is really bad out there. Its bad enough the four wheelers do this. At least even at 70mph a four wheeler can stop. The tractor-trailer cannot. I once was crossing the George Washington bridge going from New York to New Jersey. I saw this big rig going by the local exits. I was in the ranger. This rig not only passed me, but flew by me. Just to see how fast he was going I started to floor it. (speeding is never a good thing. It can lead to tickets and more important collisions.) My speedometer reached 95mph which is where it tops out. The motherfucker still had distance on me. I was like WTF? Even at 95 at least there is still a chance for me to stop. That rig lets say even empty still needs a shit load of distance to stop or slow down. I don't know maybe its me. Hey my rig is super close to the vehicle in front of me. Maybe I should slow down or drop a gear. That could help.

Here in Missouri they passed a law about texting and driving. It is illegal to text and drive if you are 21 and under.

http://interact.stltoday.com/blogzon...-texting-bans/

I really hate driving in rush hour traffic around here. People will signal about 15 feet from the turn.

Another think that is annoying going down the interstate. People who drive in the let lane doing the speed limit or under. I generally do 5 over

I don't drive a manual transmission truck. If I am on a hill and someone is right on my butt I like to kinda roll back a little and see their eyes get real big and they start honking.

When I am going down the interstate and I am behind a semi. If I go to pass them I always get over in the other lane about 1500 ft. I notice most people will ride right up on them and then get over.

I also will allow a semi over by flashing my lights. Some people will speed up to prevent them from getting over. just cause they dont wanna be behind them.

The move over or SLOW down law irritates me also. I am not against the law. I just wish people would not almost cause a wreak just to get over. That is why they put or slow down

Quote:
Missouri law (section 304.022.2) requires that drivers–on roads with two or more lanes in each direction–upon approaching a stopped emergency vehicle with flashing lights shall move over into a lane away from the emergency vehicle. The exception is where changing lanes is unsafe or impossible; then the driver must slow down.

The just passed or trying to i think you can't text while driving in south carolina and its supposed to be the same as a DUI i mean why do you need to text while driving. I can understand making a important phone call but texting it can wait.

Thats why I let off my brake when people are coming up behind me at an intersection...They can see me rolling a little bit each time I pump the brakes...and my brake lights flashing seems to get their attention better.

I don't like driving around people.
I've heard from a lot of travelers that said FL has the worst drivers in America. Im so glad the roads arent ever packed here unless its rush hour...Going to and from work at 11pm and 7am, Im never stuck in traffic except when someone wrecks on the highway...Which isnt often that early.

Around here in South Central PA. Bad driver days seems to be on Wednesdays, and rainy days.

I have found that when I drive to NJ or eastern PA which I avoid if possible, and it's really rare now since I have no connections there, but I have found that if I don't keep with the flow of traffic (75 mph or above) I'll get "run over." Speed limits seem to be null and void.

ya, texting while driving is actually worse than driving drunk according to that other study.

But then again. I learned to drive on the iberian peninsula and northern Michigan where it's open road! Got my first and hopefully last speeding ticket at 16. Maybe Barney Fife was having a bad day. The deputy for that county (friend of ours) said he was surprised I was pulled over. I was doing 65 in 55 back road of Michigan. Maybe it was the car I was in. I was in my brother's 84 Dodge Daytona on my way to pick up my sister at track practice.
