So far I've got roughly around $1,200 invested in equipment. I'll be looking at some kettles here before long.

That's a pretty cool set up they have. AZ is perfect for growing grapes. The grape vines love hot and dry weather for some reason or another.

Be advised that my PC is acting up again. I just now got it to power up, so if I'm not on here for a while, you'll know that my pc gave out.

Late to come to this thread due to my absence from the forum, but I am currently brewing my 3rd brew. Pumpkin ale, will be bottling this weekend, which reminds me I need to make sure I have enough bottles.

Mostly posting for subscription purposes to thread...

Sounds good. I'm going to be brewing a pumpkin porter in the next couple of weeks. Ill have it ready for thanksgiving. Going to try a pint with a shot of vanilla liquor in it, I've heard it will make it taste like pumpkin pie

That sounds real good. My brother just put in a request for a recipie that has about 90 different versions.

You guys are making me thirsty, L.O.L. That's sounds very interesting. Try using vanilla vodka for your recipie. It will have a smoother vanilla flavor with no additional flavors that usually occur with other vanilla liquors. My brother just requested that I make an all time favorite moonshine recipie: Apple Pie. I'll post it up for you guys if you want it.

Talking Apple Pie Moonshine Recipie....

My brother requested that I make this for him when he comes up for Christmas this year. It's extremely popular especially around the upcoming holidays. Here's what you'll need to make this fantastic recipie:

#1: 1 gallon of regular apple cider
#2: 1 gallon of apple juice
#3: 3 cups of white table sugar
#4: 1 cup of light brown sugar
#5: 8 cinnamon sticks
#6: 1 liter of 190 proof neutral based alcohol (Ever Clear will work)
#7: 1 pound of apples (any variety will work)

Using a large stock pot combine the apple cider, the apple juice, all of the sugar and cinnamon sticks to a boil. Once the mixture begins to boil remove it from the heat and allow it to cool (roughly around 20 minutes). Next add the 1 liter of 190 proof alcohol and stir for about 2 minutes. Now slice up the apples and a slice to your mason jar along with one of the cinnamons sticks. Now pour the mixture into the jar and let the jars sit for a minimum of 2 weeks. This will allow everything to settle and produce a smooth drinkable state. The longer you let these jars sit, the better. Chill over night and enjoy.

The vanilla liquor is added to your glass of beer, not the whole batch.

I was about ready to say it wouldn't taste to good if you added to the whole batch. What made you think that?

Very nice! A day after I transferred to the secondary I wish I had dropped in some vanilla bean. Maybe next time. I think I am going to try a Vanilla Stout for December...

When you said recipe I assumed you meant the batch, my bad. That bourbon barrel triple is carbing up now, that has about 7 shots of bourbon in the whole batch.

That's alright man. Things get mixed up from time to time. Bourbon barrel triple sounds a bit unusual. Can you explain how you made it and what you used to make it?

----------

I'm going to try to do a Cool Mint spirit for Christmas here pretty soon. But it would also make a great summer drink as well. I'm hoping that I can produce a cold finish no matter what the temperature is outdoors. What did you guys think of the apple pie recipie I posted earlier?

Ill go back over my notes, I soaked some medium toast cubes in makers mark for a month, while those were soaking I brewed a Belgian triple.

After a month I added the cubes to the primary, let it sit for 2 more months, then at bottling I added shots of bourbon to get the desired flavor.

Whew that's got to have a real rich flavor to it. I bet it's extremely stout to.

It won't be long now. All I need to get now is some propane and the ingredients.
