Default Flat bed?

There is a flat bed for sale nearby. He's asking 450 but obviously wouldn't pay that. A flatbed and diamond plated toolbox look okay on a single cab? Or should I just get a bed cover.

Asking 450, probably offer 250 and go from there.

Here is my hunk of junk. Thoughts?

With his on it. Asking 100, offer 65 and see where it takes me.

Or simple cover. He wants 110 for this.

Dude your trucks not bad, show mercy don't put that big @$$ flatbed on it lol get the simple cover or bed liner. Prob find a drop in one for under 50 but can rust under it.

There's a Ranger local to me with a flatbed on it. Ugly, imo. But, it looks like he bobbed it some too, the bed looks shorter than it is wide.

Keep in mind a full steel flatbed is gonna way a whole lot more than the OEM bed. It will make your truck sag in the back unless you beef up your springs, and more weight = less mpg.

I agree. Your bed looks fine. just get that tonneau cover. Or, if you really want a tool box, they make tonneaus that will fit behind a tool box too.

edit: uhhh, what's up with that tonneau. In the pic it looks like the vinyl is rusting???

I've only seen a few small truck flatbeds. Not enough to get an opinion. I like the big flatbeds! That's for the input. Once payday rolls around I may offer that guy something for the bedcover.

The bed covers will make em rust, or the liners?!

My truck has no rust an I'd hate to jeopardize thy!

There's a ranger around here with almost the exact same one and I think it looks stupid. Maybe on a bigger truck but I'd stick with your box. I'd say get the cover.

I'd like just a tool box, but being a single cab, it's hard as hell to travel with all my crap in the bed. I think I may go with the cover. It may not be that exact one. What's your guys opinion/experience with them? Fiberglass, that hard plastic, or cloth?

I'd try to get both. It's nice having a toolbox but you can keep stuff dry at the same time with the cover. I like the cloth on on my uncles f150. I hate the fiberglass ones because you can only open them so much and if you want something big you have to pull it off, just too much of a hassle.

That's exactly why I took off mine on my f150. It's defeats the purpose of a truck! I like those ones that fold up in 3rds or 4ths but they look like the take up a lot of the bed too. I'm just confused on what to do! Damn me for getting a single cab!

The one on my uncles folds up to the back of the cab and takes up probably 8 inches, probably less. And it has Velcro down the sides and clips on at the back. It looks really clean.

If you're not hauling extremely large shit every day, I wouldn't even look at a flat bed.

Good point. I like how they look on the bigger trucks, but haven't seen em on the little ones.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it has like bars going across it so its strong but it folds up nice. If I remember correctly I think it's called a tuxedo. I'm not sure though.

I have one and love it. Its not the same as a traditional one, more of an offroad look to it. It makes hauling things a lot easier, definatly best mod I've ever done.
