First and foremost pay your dear Mom back then if you get in a financial jam again you can go back to the Bank Of Mom ...Sounds like you have a good one and you ought to treat her right...Tires are a dime a dozen but good moms are getting hard to come by...

oh no she knows im good to pay her back lol ive borrowd probably close to 10 grand from my parents and ive always payed it back, i borrow from them instead of borrowing from the back cause then theres intrest and crap. dont build credit this way, but i build "trust" and they know i can pay them back when i get in a jam, and with that said i dont mind helping them out with stuff here and there, just to say thank you in a way

Well if you did all of that, you should buff it/compound it, and bring bad some of the shine. Add some tint, and repaint the wheel to a stock looking silver. When you do all of that, and with the inside being perfect, and no other problems, you could sell it for a lot more. Upwards to $2,500 cleaned up.

Shine+Tint+Silver Rims= Will make it a great looking car. Right now its kinda eh. You should really take my advice if I were you. Oh, and use some headlight restore on it as well.

Shit, if I had $1200, and could afford an extra tag/insurance, I'd buy that in a heart beat and fix it up myself if everything under the hood is perfect as you say with a perfect interior.

Would be nice now if I had a 2nd car, as my ranger is at the ford dealership again due to them installing the rear main seal incorrectly. -.-

Sell the car if you have to keep putting money in it, it's not saving you anything then. Pay your Mom back, and use the money from the car to buy tires, then save up for another commuter,

or

trade the car for a set of 33's and pay your mom back, and use the rest of the money, and save it, till you can get another commuter.

Bro-tip: Spend a weekend detailing and cleaning the interior / exterior of the car to make it look more presentable.

Will be easier to sell that way and add the cost of your labor and supplies to the selling price.

well im not gonna spend hours on it lol. ill take it through the wash, get my budy to clean it out with his steam cleaner, touch up chipped off paint. i am not buffing/waxing it though, its a civic...not a show car lmao. and im fine with selling it for the cost of my tires. so im gonna price the tires out, sell my car for that much, then walk in and buy tires haha.

but yes the decision is made, to sell the car, pay my mom back and buy tires. then by the time winter rolls around again ill have a new winter beater!
