Default What gun lube are you using?

So over the years I've used just about every CLP and cleaning system out there.

I recently decided to get some FrogLube. And I'm already set for life. This stuff is amazing! Smells like mint so the wives can no longer complain of the smell! Allowing us to clean inside the house, or even on the couch. It's a 98% bio based product

It was developed by a former SEAL, made in the USA, and personally one BIG reason I like the company...a percentage of all proceeds are donated to 3 different military/Vet non profits.

Anybody else ever used this stuff?

Rem Oil on the lesser arms, Hoppes on the higher end ones. On my pistols I like to use a bit of Lithium Grease on the rails.

It's awesome stuff. For the first "treatment" you strip the gun of all old lubricant. I used rubbing alcohol/wipes. Then you warm the parts (hair dryer) and rub the paste in.

This soaks into the metal creating a protective layer. Wipe it down and use the liquid to lubricate as needed.

Now, after shooting...don't use all the solvents like always. Remember that protective layer? Yea...just wipe the gun clean.

I use Miltec, was issued this stuff in Iraq and its great. Bonds with the gun parts to form a type of dry lubricant film. Because of the dusty environment in the desert that was really important. I use it on all of my personal weapons still.

Yup...that's exactly what I used to use. The frog lube can also be a dry lube. You just use the paste and as soon as the weapon cycles it lubes

I was raised using hoppes, and I will be using it for the rest of my life. Always does a great job, and has never let me down. The smell allways reminds me of my childhood, and the wife seams to like the smell too.

Hoppes when I can. If I just need something quick I use the Remoil in the spray can.

Hoppes has a convient spray can, I use it for everything, even on fishing reels.
