Default Yipes moment

I was driving home yesterday, and saw a shiny grey ranger pulled over with its hazzards on. I pulled over to see if I could help, or at least meet another owner in my area. I got put and asked the driver ( well to do looking middle-aged man) if he needed help. He said "no, its just a flat. I've already called a tow truck". He must've seen the confusion on my face cause as he then told me that he had bought the truck about a month ago, he looked all over the bed and in th cab and it didn't come with a spare! Choking back my laughter, I asked if he had ever owned a truck before, which was of course a no. I brought him around the back, and pointed out his full size spare under the bed thinking he was gonna feel pretty stupid. When he saw this he said "you think they would tell people that". I helped him put on the spare and got him back on his way.
I left the scene with only one word going through my head, "YIPES"!
LMAO later.
Ever have a "YIPES" moment? Or is it just me

Seriously, a truck owner not realizing that the spare is underneath the truck? Hasn't he ever followed a truck because sometimes one can see the tire underneath from behind.

had a friend body lift his truck and was convinced he couldnt get his spare tire off now. (behind the licence plate theres a hole)

i had one one day, couldnt get a truck on the lot to fire up. full power, no crank.

forgot i was sitting in a stick, put the clutch in and away i went. (long day)

i witnessed a indian couple get a flat, stop at the top of a bridge and proceed to change his tire. I stopped to see if he needed help, i got a scared wide eye stare. (dont think he spoke english)

Yeah, but common sense should play somewhat a role. Since pickups dont' have a trunk, the logical place for storage is underneath.

To many to count, favorite was when a friend of mine (femail friend) and I were out one night and she needed to get gas in her car. We got to the gas station and just sat there. I asked her if she was going to go put gas in her car, and she proceeded to tell me that she did not know how to. Her boyfriend always put gas in her car for her. SHE HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER A YEAR AT THIS POINT!!!

Yeah that was a fun time the first time my wife left her headlights on and I had to jump her car in the parking lot of her work. Took me a minute to remember where the battery was.

Granted a Corvette's battery is behind the seats in the middle of the passenger compartment.

Lol yipes I don't understand that's the first thing you should learn I started pumping gas in my dad's car when I was 13. But one time I was over at my buddies house and he wasn't able to start his car after working on it. I told him to pop the hood and bam the battery was not even put back xD.

Yeah, I was pumping gas when I was six, hell that was my job on family vacations. Pull up to the pump, I got out, pumped the gas, told my dad how much it was and he went and paid for it. All this was back in the day before prepay for all you youngsters out there.
