These EV Ranger's were just one of the many models that was recalled by the automaker companies when California got rid of its 10% of vehicles produced had to be zero emissions mandate. The car companies, along with oil companies, fought so hard against make these cars sell, mainly GM. GM's EV1 (Electric Vehicle 1) was only able to be leased, and therefore, when the lease was over and the mandate was gone, they took them all back and crushed them. Sad because this could've changed everything considering they weren't even using the most advanced battery available at the time. With the battery it did have, the cars were still able to meet the needs of at least 80% of commuter's daily commute. I sure wish they'd come back with the electric cars.
