Does anyone know of some free match sites? I'v been single for a year now and it sucks. I don't have the money right now to pay for eharmony but id love to sign up. So any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

eharmony and match do free weekends from time to time... someone once told me you get what you pay for with dating sites though (note the ads on craigslist)....... haha you can sign up for sites for free so check 'em all out then pay for one... it'll pay off

Well sounds like you're in the same boat as my friend at work. He's achieved everything in life at such a young age of 24, house, car, etc.

He was engaged, broke it off, been picking up chicks here and there.

He some how seems to think that girls only like the jerks. So he started acting some one like one. I told him he's nuts.

My other friend got engaged last year but simply asking out the girl who cut his hair. So I guess it goes to show you, You can probably meet chicks any where.

Try the grocery stores, social activities, church, etc.

But I've observed that and this happened for me. I quit "chasing." and pre occupied myself with my hobbies and two or so years later met my wife. So I guess you never know where and when it might happen.

Another thought for ya is the pay sites also show the seriousness of the participant. The people would (probably) have a job and be willing to fork over the cash which tells you right there they aren't complete bums just looking to hook up. I've met great guys on match.com as well as craigslist (only one on CL though... don't recommend that process). I recommend match.... just my $0.02

i'm with smakes on this one... there's strange everywhere. literally. grocery store, hair salon, car wash, wal mart, stop lights, bars, parties etc etc. Picking up girls isnt left to some retarded website dude. How do you think our parents and grandparents did this shit? " oh lets fire up the short wave radio and see who's single" NOT!. ITS ALL UP TO YOU. see something you like (girl) go for it. dont like her? throw her ass back in the pond. you've gotta be assertive and goal oriented.. if you walk around like a pussy, girls are going to treat you like one.

Very true, internet dating is just one more avenue, not the only one.

not true marie, i have been poking around almost all the sites, and all they do is rip you off, i was on eharmony for a few months, and never saw anything from them

Not sure what you mean?? I've never been on eharmony but I was on match and on two separate occasions (almost a year apart) I met wonderful guys who I'm still in touch with.

I guess all the women calling me "useless, ugly, fat and stupid" when i was in school really sunk in.
