L.O.L. That's a good one man. Yeah they're putting their best feet forward concerning fuel economy these days reguarding the fullsize trucks. Chrysler has been advertising 26 mpg's for the Ram 1500's on TV here lately (not the 1500 express mind you). I look for Ford to try and one up them here before long.

It's got a different tune on it than the standard Silverados do. It feels a bit weird going down the road 70 mph turning only 1700 rpms. I get around 630 miles to a tank of fuel and it only holds 25 gallons of fuel. It also constantly re-tunes itself for maximum efficientcy.

Nope. Once it goes into 5th or 6th gear, 4 cylinders shut off until I stomp it.

Re: The F-150 has been replaced...
i bought my civic for good mpgs....then welll shit happened(suicidal transmission) and the 70hp good mpgs motor found it self homeless and a 170-180 hp/150-160 torq LSvtec motor took its place....with my lead foot mpgs are a thing of the past

Bumping my old thread for a year in review of my clown car. Today marks exactly one year since I bought it. I've put over 10K on the car, two oil changes, a new tire and wheel, belt tensioner and recently replaced the blower motor that crapped out on one of the snowiest drives I've had all year. Overall though I've enjoyed this car, it's saved me over $2000 in gas this year, has kept 10k miles off my truck and despite being the snowiest, coldest winter here since 1982 it's held it's own in the snow. I've been tracking the mileage all year withy gas cubby app:
Winter mileage has dropped my overall average to just above 30 Mpg but once the weather warns back up and the summer grade gas comes back so will the mileage.
Overall this has been a wise investment on my part, the cost savings is significant.
