I trust her enough to raise our child so her driving my truck is no issue. I like the fusions but buying a bigger car with a bigger engine kind of defeats the purpose behind buying this one. ha ha

How do Focus's do up in the snow and ice? Its not a car i would normally believe would do well in snow and such.

No personal experience yet but I see them all over the place here. Obviously it wont be any where near as capable as my truck in the snow but front wheel drive cars usually do ok. This car has a decent set of snow tires on it which will help a ton.
----------
I also just figured out it has the "Zetek" version of the 2.0 DOHC 4 banger in it which would explain why it was constantly doing wheelies on the way home. It has like 130 HP instead of the 110 most other focus's have. Not sure of thats a good thing or not. ha ha

On snow it all comes down to tires on these cars. The stock tires on my wife's where some kinda summer tire it was down right scary in the snow. I replaced them with a more winter style all season and now I have never had a hick up out of the car it does great. My wife's also has the high HP 2.0l. It's kinda zippy. It doesn't have the power my Vic does but it's just a 4cyl.

I use a motorcycle as my gas saver. I take too much snow and cold for you to deal with.

Yeah winter around here puts a stop to motorcycles real quick, plus a car seat doesnt fit on a bike. ha ha

Did some maintenance on it today. Replaced the valve cover gasket, changed the oil, air filter, wiper blades, fixed trunk latch, replaced a couple blown fuses and checks for play in the wheel bearings and bushings. Should be good to go for a bit now.

My buddy used to have a couple old police interceptors and he would average low 20's highway with those.
