Default I'm dreading it....

Well tomorrow morning, my dad goes into the hospital for some major surgery. They'll be cutting out part of his lung. The specialist is 99% sure that it is indeed lung cancer. I am glad that I quit smoking when I did.

It's a really hard habbit to kick and at first he was in denial about the surgery. But the more he talked to the people whom are going to be performing this surgery, the more it sank in as to how bad it actually is.

My grandmother had the same surgery, and went on for a good 6 or 7 years after that. Stay positive, and everything will be fine.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to stay positive about this whole situation. I just worry that even after all of this, he won't quit smoking.

Hang in there man, my grandmother had the same surgery about 13 years ago. She doing very well with no major issues, still gets around just fine.

Thanks guys. Dad made it through and he's already awake. It was determined to be lung cancer that they removed and they also removed calcium deposits from the lower half of the same lung. He's in severe pain but that was pretty much to be expected. That's one load off my back and mind.
