Default Florida rental laws.

My friend has a problem down in Florida. Her deadbeat ex-boyfriend( with his girlfriend ), moved back down to Florida from Michigan. He's the father of there 19 year old son. They were never married. Anyway, they just moved on into the apartment and won't leave. The son wants him out, since hads never really been a dad to him. And she definitely wants him out of her life. Luckily she works as a live-in CNA for most of the week. She called the police but they said since it has been over 48 hrs, it is a civil suit and she would need to try and evict him. She says she can't tell the rental office, because they would get evicted for to many people. He says he and his girl aren't going anywhere. He's also calling her at work harassing her, telling her what she should do. She is all upset.
Anyone have any ideas what she could do? Thanks

Your friend is living with a girl, her 19 year old son, and her ex-boyfriend who is "a mooch"? Sounds like your friend needs to grow some balls and evict "the girl that isn't his girl anymore", her ex, and her/their son.

My friend, Dawn, is the single mom with the 19 year old son. Her sons father, her ex-boyfriend will not stay out of her life. HE, the Ex, is the one with the girl friend. They are both moochers. He contsantly calls her asking her for money, even when he was in MI. He verbally harasses her and has caused her to lose a number of jobs over the years. She just wants to get him and his girl friend out of her apartment and out of her life.
The police will not help. Any ideas of what she can do. I'm tempted to fly down there just to beat his ass and kick him out.

Bother the piss outta the police. or tell the apartment complex that you let the stay one night "visiting" and now they wont leave and ask the apartment complex for help in getting them out since they arent paying for anything and your friend i assume is the only one on the lease other then the son.

or try to tell the police they are trespassers in the apartment.

She afraid if she tells the complex that she'll get evicted for having to many people living in the apartment. I ask her about the trespassing though.
Thanks

Tell the land lord, they can get the dead beat out or have the police do it. As long as your friend is on the lease with her son, she should be fine to say they're guests who overstayed their welcome.
