Default Waterless coolant

Has anyone tried waterless coolant. I know Jay Leno uses it in all his cars, but I want to know if anyone here has tried it, what you think about it.

Google Evans Waterless Engine Coolant. There are probably other brands too. Hopefully someone on this forum has used this type of coolant before.

And some say that nothing can be learned from the t.v. I never heard of waterless coolant either.

So new that not a single buyer has left feedback, but the product sounds like it has promise. I won't pay $32.99 for 1/2 gallon, but eventually, the price should fall.

what bothers me is that leaks are definitely gonna happen, so in an emergency when the coolant level is low, how hard is it to go back to water...

i guess as long as you flush the expensive stuff out purdy good, it should be fine...

That is a very good point. In an emergency and needing to add water, all the waterless coolant would need to be drained first.

some of those guys on that one link were saying you might need a water pump with a different flow rate.

You do bring up some good points. It's a good idea in theory but you never know what will go wrong with the cooling system ex: leaks. Hopefully it will come down in price and become more popular.

Seems like no one has tried it yet in their Ranger. Is there anyone who has enough money to burn to try it?
