Re: Disaster Preparedness (prepping, bug out bags, ect...)
im usually always prepped.
My camping gear is on the top shelf in my garage, my truck tent that goes in the bed is under my work bench. my tool box is setup to be emptied into a bag in under a minute. i have a full electrical kit, i have a cold cellar with 3 months of food, i have anywhere between 30 and 60 gallons of water on hand at all times, i have an ATC that can haul me, full camping gear, 10 gallons of gas and 5 gallons of water (10 gallons of gas will last me about a week of the atv driving around 12 hrs a day)
full size spare, buck knife in the truck, CB radio, with weather band. Family sized first aid kit in the truck 24/7 (yes ive had to use it), tow straps, spare fluids, spare wheel bearings, duct tape.
basically, if shit hits the fan, ill be the guy in the gray ranger hauling ass through the shit storm.
my favorite tool, is i have my sport bike and my dads corvette. if i need to get somewhere quick, like picking up my gf (my first stop is anything happens) i can cut my 20 min drive down to under 10.

Lol. Crazy? Nah just ready. IMO a B.O.B. or G.H.B. is just like having medical insurance or life insurance. Better to have it and not need it than be screwed. Too many people these days would have no clue how to deal in bad situations, and don't even carry what they need every day.

Re: Disaster Preparedness (prepping, bug out bags, ect...)
I have a BOB/Starter bag in work, It has a few basic tools a set of throwing knives, a nice brand new gerber switchblade a small hatchet, on the bottom i have a 3-4 person dome tent and my sleeping bag on top. some small packs of epoxy, never know what you need to glue and they are in packs the size of a moist towelet, a lighter, need a magnesium rod, little cloths that are the size of a dime just add water. my wife also has a bag that pretty much matches, minus the tent. the only thing i can think of to add is some fishing stuff and i would like a way to filter water but i do have a little pot/pan set to boil if needed. I will have my .40s&w with me on my side, my 7mm mag across my back/shoulder, and my bow in my hand and my wife will carry the .22 with about 200 rounds. I need to get a few more bullets for the 7mm. I also plan on throwing the kyaks in the river and finding a secluded place away from civilization. maybe meet up with some others doing the same.

Katadyn has been the best water filters in my travels. But since I don't have the ability or necessity to carry my hiker pro I typically ha e this small light weight kit

Frontier personal water filter(awesome), coffee filters, and some purifying tablets.
I have found I don't use the tablets though

I would deck out my 87 f150 like they do in the death race movies. Completely armor it up and pretty much seal it. I'd connect the front with the bed for more room and to avoid going outside at all costs. My grandparents house is on a hill and lake. I would like to build a bunker under the hill also armored. I'd tap in to the lake/stream and filter the water. This plan goes in to affect when I win the lottery

People you can trust and share the load with!
Hiked the AZ trail in 23 days with 4 freinds.
Splitting the load was probably the smartest thing we did
