Oh and by the way i am learning diesabled so reading and write will never and have never come easy to me! Sorry my typing isnt perfect buddy. I make more then a person that's been to collage with a peace of paper saying whatever and also have no loans . collage isn't for everyone.

now this thread makes guys look like douches haha. but i wouldn't be so sure about the making more than a college graduate part thing...college is not for everyone and it is not required for a lot of jobs..but that being said, a lot of jobs are required and they do pay more money. thats just facts right there.you might make more money than SOME college graduates but not ALL. but forreal, forget those guys and just man up.

I wouldn't worry about it. Brush it off and go about your life. As a teacher I see many students with learning disabilities who are very skilled in other areas. Unfortunately, a large part of the population is rather ignorant about learning disabilities.

x2. sis is a special ed teacher, who deals with kids from just a very mild disability to very severe disabilites. a lot of the ones with more mild disabilites go on to succed in the world.

This is true, actually a lot of students with disabilities are very strong in certain areas because they've had to hone other skills to help compensate for things they struggle with.

I don't care how much anyone makes, it doesn't replace having an education.

Not everyone who goes to college has loans. I graduated a Mechanical Engineer and I work for Toyota and have no loans.

I agree that college isn't for everyone and I respect technical fields as much as the next guy, but you shouldn't bitch about people making assumptions about your financial situation and life when you just made one about people who go to college

Ok so I'm a 20year old. I've worked from the age of 15 to get my first truck 96 2wd f250 diesel. Then I fixed it up by myself then sold it and tripled my money then bought my 97 f350 diesel. Oh i also payed every bill i get. Then I got a night job when I turned 18 towing cars and stuff. Been there off and on for 2years now. I also got my 2002 f350 diesel then and worked on it slowly as money aloud. At the age of 19 years old I got a break but it was at a large cost my family member passed away and left me a house. I then sold off my 97 and emptied out my collage fund to fix the house up and sold it. And bought a ranger and 2 other powerstrokes. And then got a new job that pays good but is high risk and I'm on call 24/7. Plus i also mange a farm. But anyways I always get made fun of and hear oh dad has money. And I get so ripped because I worked my butt of to get what I have and not have a dime I owe to anyone. So do people not get that some young people aren't spoon fead? And that some kids do pay bills with out help?


WOW - Some very good advice here !! As you get older too you will realize that some of your priorities will change as well . School is very important . A lot of jobs today are skilled versus growing up and learning on the job . I learned on the job and as the years went by I went back to school too . Make sure you think about your decisions and do not worry about what others say or do . At the end of the day its your life you are building . Material things will always be there but make sure to invest in yoruself !!!

I'm with the OP. I am 20 and have bought all the vehicles myself! I work 30hrs a week and take 13 credits at college! And make time for my gf! And I'm saving for an apartment so I can start my life! I say as Lon as your a hard and dedicated worker live your life and you will get out of it what you put in! College is good and everything but he is right, it's not for everybody!!!
