The worst dyed window film can show signs of color fading in the matter of months under intense sunlight. The average hybrid type film lasts for 5 years, and the best quality metallized sputtered or deposition window film can last for a decade.
all tinting film eventually break down. When this happens depends on the quality of the film itself, the amount of exposure to sunlight, and the workmanship of the tinter who installed the film

Ask?

Latest window tint is a meaningless statement. If I said I had the latest car it doesn't give any reference to the quality, it could be a Kia, Lamborghini, or anything in between.

Shops rely on word of mouth, so it would be bad business to give you a horrible product, I would expect it to last a few years without a problem.

The best/most fun window tint is the mirror tint. I just loved watching people pressing their faces against the glass in my sisters car while I was sitting in the passenger seat. Nobody could see me!!! But it's easy to see out. Plus it looks really good on a silver car. Anybody have the silver/mirror tint here?

P.S.

This tint was installed in New Mexico and is legal there. I rarely see it here in TX and I have no idea as to it's legality in other areas.

My window tint on the passenger side started to bubble in the corner. I took it back and they fixed it. I think all shops around here have lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle.

Just clean your windows with ammonia free cleaner. Also don't clean them for 1 week they need time to cure and setup

Year and a half bump lol.

Just noticed my side tint is starting to peel on the drivers side at the very top. Probably from years of rolling the window down and up. I got this tint about 5 years ago
