Yesterday evening we went to a local Tex-Mex restaurant called The Mad Cactus. They were featured on the Food Network's Restaurant Impossible because they're quality had gone downhill, however, they had a revival. The atmosphere is O.K., but the food really was good. My wife had Grilled Chicken topped with Cheese and potatoes. I had shrimp tacos with a special sauce, and instead of tortilla shells, they used a corn shell, or something, instead. I didn't eat the refried beans, but it also came with spanish rice -- absolutely delicious and not something I would normally order.

The company is family founded and is on the banks of the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland, and they serve rescue operations and boaters on the lake, but they also have a retail store that looks like an "old-fashioned" hardware store. They sell anchors, and all sorts of things, from clothing, to flashlights, to rafts, etc. The job I specifically applied for was shipping and receiving basically a Mon - Fri. 8:30 - 4:30 operation. They will require that I work in the retail store about 1 a month, and that week I can either be off Monday or Friday. I got a good vibe from the interview, and I thought it was my best interview to date. The interviewee said they are looking to hire up to 3 individuals, and mainly for shipping and receiving but possibly one for the store part-time. My position would be full-time, no holidays, typically no weekends except for the one Saturday a month, and benefits and 401K after 90 days.
