Talking Do we have any Marines!!??
OOORAH!! just enlisted as of january and am shipping off to boot camp in San Diego on August 23rd. cant wait to get going and outta here. senior year cant go any faster!! Any advise for boot camp and when i'm in the fleet??

Congrats and thank you. One of my best friends is a Marine in San Diego. Best advice as far as I can tell, shut up and do as you're told. Show up on time and work ten times as hard as you think you can and it'll be over quicker than you think and you'll go places you never knew you could go. Oh and my marine buddy says pick a job that if they send you to the sandbox you don't have to deal with ahkmed. He just got back and he never had to leave base, he was bored but he was mostly safe. lol he's also a new father so that made it ten times better to be bored and safe.

only people you will be seeing on the beach is the navy seals doing there training thay use the mess hall you will. but there base is like three or so miles up north and thay run in eat and run back thats what i remembered hell that was Meany Meany bottles ago

lol, hopefully not too long ago! but yeah, i intend to give all i can then some more. should be an interesting few months. i signed an open contract right now but i think i'm shooting for security forces or presidential gaurd duty. i recieved a 92 on my ASVAB so it's pretty much open to whatever job i'd like
