i dont work in one, but i like to weld and hope to own my own shop someday, with the cnc mills and lathes...

lol! i always tell people that if you can cut metal, run a grinder, and learn to weld. you can fix anything. lol. yes, welding does come in handy on vehicles. i havnt got to use it on the ranger yet . but i have been asked buy a couple people to build them roll cages and i said "ummm... no. A.) i cant tig weld very good, B.) im not putting ur life in my hands... literally. i have been asked to weld up a couple exhaust leaks and bumpers tho

i love welding. im in technical school for it, and i got hired on at this shop as a "job shadow" and i only work once a week, but hey, im doing what i love to do. but those little metal buildings i was referring to is what i weld on. i work for a company that works for a company (PTMW) that makes the metal buildings. i basically weld up joints all day on them. lol

i'm going to a tech school for machine tool and engineering drafting. how many people can say that they can make what they design?
