They are actually improving by LEAPS and BOUNDS, I write that in Caps for a reason. There is a reason that people are buying the new autos in the diesels and not the manuals. I love a manual transmission myself, but the autos offer more options now and can handle as much or more power than many manuals can.

I sure hope they are getting much better, because i wasn't that hard on my cars... while i never had a single problem with manual, ever.

Ranger autos are notoriously weak. Mine needs a shift solenoid right now, but I'm being lazy cuz I have to drop the pan and drain the fluid. Which is a PITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I love a manual way better, stupid simple and I love rowing gears, nothing better. Plus I think if you can not drive a stick you need to learn, they make you pay more attention in my opinion. I want to see a blonde 16 year old keep her license by trying to text sip starbucks and shift gears!!! Ha 2 weeks max

That reminds me...One of my friends the other day said "why the hell do they even make manual transmissions anymore?" His grandpa "cars with manual transmissions are usually cheaper and you can get better gas mileage." my friend "If you cant afford an automatic, you dont deserve to drive."

Ignorance is bliss.
