Did that, they said the amp measured stable, i'm going back this week to get a part replaced, i'm gonna bring in my multimeter and show them the voltage at the base of the headlamp bulb if i get pissed off. But i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and ask them to check it again. I'm still not convinced about how normal my dashboard lighting is, i find it way too low in intensity.

Yeah, but im saying lets say yours has a 150amp alternator. you can get it rebuilt to 200 or 250....with a 4.0 think you can do 250....basically upgrading to a high output alt.

i despise toyota, not because they are japanese, but because they overcharge their crap by at least 30% and STILL cut corners.

I still own a Ford, have owned 5, and would have bought another Escape if they hadn't cut corners on the 2010s. It wasn't anywhere near the quality of our 02.
Atleast I don't drive a Honda.

well the 250amp sounds great (really great, didn't know that could be done!) for when i install the lights and all, but since there is nothing to put strain on the alternator right now, i need to see the problem fixed before i modify anything.

I run my fogs/sidemarkers,my amp (although it's small), and radar all the time with no drain probs. on my stock size alt.

OK, so my friend is being weird.

He is completely redoing his suspension on his mustang. He is also getting a new block and trans before the summer is out, which will leave me with everything I need for my swap minus an ECU, and wiring harness I think. When we do my engine swap, he wants to take out my I-beam and replace it with his mustang suspension...first question, is this even possible on a low budget? and second, how much time would it take? Has anyone done this?

I dont know how its done...gave this guy who rebuilds alts $250 and his alt, and came back a week later to pick it up... he only got it rebuilt to like 200 because his 3.0 alt wasnt big enough to rebuild it to 250 or something...the shit confuses me.

The escape that was loaned to me was pretty awesome, it didn't have leather seats and i wouldn't have wanted them anyways! But it wasn't the base model, so i wouldn't know about that one.

Hondas and Toyotas have their shitty engines in common, where even recent cars start polluting with a stink and a blue or black smoke, and because genuine parts are so expensive, people in general just don't fix them.
