Cult pejoratively refers to a group whose beliefs or practices could be, reasonably or unreasonably, considered strange.[1] The term originally denoted a system of ritual practices. The narrower, derogatory sense of the word is a product of the 20th century, especially since the 1980s, and is considered subjective, and is a result of the anti-cult movement, which uses the term in reference to groups seen as authoritarian, exploitative and possibly dangerous.
The popular, derogatory sense of the term has no currency in academic studies of religions, where "cults" are subsumed under the neutral label of "new religious movement", while academic sociology has partly adopted the popular meaning of the term.
soo.. how much further do you want me to stick my foot in my mouth?

A lot in there applies.
I call atheism a cult because to them, there is no other way, and if you dare argue with them, the only way i've seen them try to win an argument is by ignoring you, or they'll try to gang up on the opposing opinion, which is fun to watch, or/and provoke.

Christians have killed more people for not being followers than all other reasons combined in human history

all i know is that i'm catholic, i was baptised in a catholic church, which follows catholicism. I've not been taught about christianism. To be perfectly honest i just browsed a bit of "wiki" (which is always 100% accurate) to see what it stood for.
as far as the crusades go, they were an answer to several invasions and decisions from intolerant people, there was a war before there were crusades.
