I make at least one and a half times what I did at almost every job I did without a degree. I know a few are lucky and get good money without them but that's rare from what I've seen. I work at the railroad now and make twice what I've made at any other job. It's well worth it. Even just an associates. I started at a community college and that saved me a bundle of cash.

My uncles worked for the railroad...one got hurt, a tie fell on his back or something...It does seem to be good money though. Im thinking about community college for my basics, then go for a 2yr tech program to be a radiology tech.

I have a friend that does radiology, she also has the creds to do anything in nursing. She works a lot but makes way more money than I will ever make. As she should for all the time she put in and the knowledge she needed.

I'm a college student I work with the railroad as a co op work experience student as a technical director. I make 20.75 an hour. I have like the 3 highest paying job in the town. It's awesome. Also there are so many oppurtunitys and places I could go afterwards with the railroad. Plus I only know one person in college that makes more money than me, she's the one I talked about above lol

Right on dude...Sounds like you're doing good for yourself. I make $10/hr BUT I live in one of the lowest cost of living places in America, so it pays the bills.

I just called and woke up every day person including the GM and AGM and told them that until they can do their jobs right, be expecting to hear from me everytime I hear about something they did wrong from a guest. Our performance scores are in the toilet and I cant take up for them anymore. They checked people in that hadnt even arrived yet, they gave one guy a key and didnt check him in, so I checked someone else into that room (think of the shitstorm that stirred up, a stranger walking into someone else's room at midnight) and now a lady just came to check out of 213 when she was in room 124 in our system...our day shift just cant get right.

Oh and someone didnt drop their money, had $400 extra dollars sitting in the drawer...lucky Im honest or Id have a new billet grille and they would be out of a job.

Lol wow, sounds like a tardfest.

I am doing pretty well, it's taken me 5 years and a lot of time. Not to mention moving away to Montana, I hate Havre, love Montana but it's not home. But in the end it will be worth it. I have literally talked to some of the biggest names in the diesel industry and applied for jobs with them. Now just waiting to see what happens. I've had so many oppurtunities because of my degree I wouldn't trade it for anything. Been a good ride, now I graduate in May and off to make millions!

My brother's ex wife's dad owns a diesel repair shop...He doesnt do too bad. I wouldnt work for him though. He's an old bandito (some biker gang) and acts like he is the hardest mother fucker to ever walk on our red dirt.

I love Montana, went up there for a couple summers to stay with my aunt...Dont remember where, they lived outside a little town that was so small it didnt even have a walmart. But she did work at the museum where a guy gave me a dinosaur tooth. Wish I still had it, probably worth more than my truck lol (not really, dont think they would have just given me a tooth worth that much). Forgot what kind of dinosaur it was, but he said it was real...They had all kinds of cool stuff in the back room.

You should check out dino digs...they always have stuff like that going on up there...I think one of the biggest T-rex's ever discovered was up there. If you found a t-rex skelly in tact I bet you'd make bank...not that they find them often, but from what I hear, Montana is the place to be if you're into dinosaurs.

Lol it is, we have a ton of them, due to the Ice Age we got a lot of dead things that got fossilized, and oil and coal lol
