We use sand here....I think last year was the first year Ive seen them use salt since Ive been driving. But we had over a foot of snow on top of a few inches of ice.

a foot of snow is nothing i have to drive threw 3 to 4 foot snow drifts on the road sometimes

We dont usually get too much snow...Just ice...which sucks more imo...Snow you can get stuck in, ya, but Ice, you can get stuck on or just keep on sliding right into someone/something.

this is the reason i got my ranger instead of the 350Z i was looking at and also insurance reasons also hahahahahhahahahahahahaa

It's the first winter i'll drive a truck that's not 4x4, so i bought nice tires, but i doubt it'll handle even as well as my last fwd car. I'm not used to being careful, i like to punch it, even in blizzards its more fun that way. Besides, it's fun to blast past cars doing 50km/h

ok first u will be fine second u need lots of sand bags or sand tube bags and u will have all the traction of a fwd or 2wd i do this in my ranger and really never use 4wd unless i'm in 2 to 3 feet of snow

Turns out, i only find steppies caps and full sized pickups caps..

i have a hard top tonnaue cover truck lined on the top of it also it's about 190 pounds and i still slide around so i added sand bags maybe this can help u out with knowlage

i have used three diff tires in winter on my ranger i treid snow tires when it was stock sucked ass lol than i had some all terrains where actully better and the best set and the best luck with a set and traction is my 33 inch 10.50 km2 mud tires believe it or not with extra weight drives like a beast in the snow sometimes ice was a issue but that was going up hills down back roads i'm telling u it's all in the weight yu put in the bed
