No racing. Its like, you enter into a match between, say, 130db and 139.9db. You "race" (play music) for 30 secs and at the end of that time limit, whatever decibel reading you have on the meter is your score. Whoever has the higher reading wins. If you go over, or under, you are eliminated I believe.

If you are paying over $50 bucks for that amp, i'd say don't do it. That amp will probably only do between a sixth and a third of rated power.

Well, go for it then. I'm just warning you, theres a fine line between clean and dirty power.
You can have 3k dirty watts but only get like 800 of them be clean. And by clean, I mean not sending a clipped signal to your sub. Think of a sine wave, like 35hz tone. you have your crest, trough, and a point where it's at zzero. A clipped signal will show up on an oscope as a squared off edge on your sine wave instead of a rounded wave. This means you're sending a clipped signal to your sub and that will heat up the glue used to fix the copper wire to the cone and when that comes off, your sub is blown. And at 3kw, this is a very high possibility.

If it blows my subs, imma be super pissed lol...cause I wont have money for those until probably dec-jan...Cause when I replace those, Im getting 4 15s. Kind of a waste to have a bedcut and only 2 15s imo....Wish I knew of 2 other DEIs like mine that arent beat to shit...I love them man....they're fucking bulletproof. I think they are around 10yrs old and still sound great.

Re: FRF Afterhours
Yeah man, clipping is the number 1 cause of subs getting blown. My sister blew my 15s out by clipping them to shit. I was like oh well, you just owe me $100 now, lol.
