I'm concerned about winter driving. I've never driven a 4x2 truck in winter, and i've never driven slow during blizzards..

x2 use lots of sand in the bed. My first car was a ranger 2wd and my first winter driving was here in IL so it was definitely a learning experience lol

Won't extra weight in the back mess with the electronic whatchamacallit that keeps the truck in line and the traction control?

my "first" car was a 98' ford escort, i gave that thing so much hell in the winter time. then come summer time and rain, the tires were spinning all the time! lol. and then towards the end of summer the number 4 valve dropped on it. and kplewy goes the motor. i miss that car lol

no you'll be fine. 150 to 200 pounds is about perfect in the bed. thats not enough weight to screw with the electronics. my first ranger was a 92 though so i didnt have all that and i put 400 pounds in that bed to keep the ass planted. it was hell on my suspension but i never worried about not having traction lol. good tires definitely help too
