if it wasnt for me completely loving welding, i would have gone into Machine Tool Technology. you design and machine things, basically what you are in. the one thing i thought was really cool was making a replacement knee cap! it was soo cool to see how they had it geared to move

But josh, i love my oem bumper, i just want something up front that'll be strong, nothing fancy, just brute force to crack some plastic *******s who park too close.

That, and i was thinking about a winch.

what about re-enforcing your bumper brackets and building a tube style bumper BEHIND your stock one? just a thought

hmm. guess i cant really picture what ur talking about (the oem bumper). i understand about wanting a bar. if i were u, run a support off each frame rails (flux core weld the shit our of it, it wont come off if you flux core it) out passed ur bumper about 3 inches. then, run a bar connecting them. add extra support where needed. lol

exactly. i love doing that. we have a 3d printer that lets us see how the stuff will work before we go make it.

good point. i'd just do a single bar and have it bent to the contour of your bumper and run it close to the bumper. kinda of like a truck that does an exo-cage. then have two posts that come through your existing bumper. like what josh said.
