Change of subject guys. What do you guys think about cell phone use and driving? Do you think it increases crashes or is no different than someone changing the radio station or talkin to their passenger?

I think it depends on the person. I don't think my sister should drive and talk. I do it, but only when it's light traffic or the middle of nowhere. And I feel I do alright. But that doesn't mean I do. There are days I won't pick it up when I drive because I am to distracted by the phone.

IMHO, I think it's BS as well. Putting a CD in the CD player, Talking to your buddy next to you, scratching your leg because it itches can all cause a crash. Hell, They might as well outlaw thinking while they're at it. Thinking is very distracting. Just because some ******* cuts you off and happens to be on the cell phone doesn't mean its the cell phone. I get cut off all the damn time by just some stupid driver that is paying more than enough attention to the road. People need to think more reasonably before they make a ******* law. Before cell phones were a big thing, there were just as many accidents. Not comparable to now, just for the fact that not many vehicles were around then. Plus, those new laws against texting and driving just make it more dangerous. People are no longer texting on the steering wheel, they are texting below it, looking even further away from the road, because they don't want to get caught. If the government keeps making laws and laws, and more laws for every little thing, this is no longer a free country. We are all humans, we are not all perfect at everything, so why make more and more restrictions to our already stressful lives.

Agreed!! I don't listen to the law though. In Montana talking on the phone and driving without a handheld is a secondary offense. In Washington its a primary law though, that just means I don't get caught. I pay closer attention then lol I don't try texting below the wheel. I can do it with one hand not looking because I don't have a full keyboard. I usually write my text check spelling quick then send it. Or wait for a stop light
