Who woulda thought my truck came with an 8.8 and 10inch brakes? We went to 2 different yards and found ONE rear end that wasnt trashed, it was 7.5 w/7in brakes. We got it, took it home, drained it, and shit was full of metal, then pulled the drums off...The only springs that werent broke were so rusted I could have thumped them and broke them...So we pull mine to see how salvageable it was...Drain it, not a single fucking metal flake. Pull the drums off, and brakes were mangled...So that noise Ive been hearing was the brakes and the springs bouncing around the spindle on the wheel that had a melted lug. Got a new lugstud on without having to pull the spindles, Got the brakes put back together and put the rear end back on...So pissed we pulled the fucking rear for brakes basically...Then the guy at oreileys didnt want to sell us brakes because he didnt believe us...He kept saying we had smaller on a ranger, so we had to take the drum up there when we went to pick them up.

We called to see if he had the springs and all and not just the shoes and he kept saying "95 ranger? 2wd? you aint got 10inch brakes on that brother, go measure the drum, the inside not the outside" So we took the drum up there and said, you fucking measure it, then give us what we need.
