Default national guard

well i just got back in MEPS in nashville i just got in the national guard i leave for basic on april 13 and i will be gone for 22weeks i am going into 91Bravo a wheeled vehicle mechanic and then after i get back from that i will be transfering into the navy and go to the navys Aschool to become a avation mechanic and that will be my job till i drop dead!!! hahahahaha.......no really it will be. now i just have to get my fiance settled in and ready for me to be gone for that long of a time aka a gun. what do yall think of my job change?

human resources? How long was ur AIT? and where? Ft. Lee?

mine is in fort jackson and my AIT is 12 weeks and 3 days. so far ive been told that they call ft jackson relaxin jackson hope thats true

Lol, heard the same. Never been there. But don't go into it expecting it to be chill. Because it will still be a culture shock to you no matter what. Just take it day by day, and try not to think about home too much or you'll get depressed. Thats the last thing you want. Just stay focused, and you will be A-OK.

yea my neighbor hes in the air force and he told me to NEVER vol. for anything it can hurt your or help you but alot of the time hurt more than help

good luck man and thanks for volonteering to serve our country! get the most out of youre training because it can truely save your life some day. i did 6 years in the reserves.
