Exclamation Survey for a school project

Hey everyone, for our project for our engineering class, my partner and I are trying to design a car jack that will not slip as easily. In your experiences, is there any glaring problem with the current car jack design? Two design paths we are considering are to to construct a new way the jack sits on the ground, the other is to change how the jack interacts with the car...be it a U-shaped or V-shaped end. Suggestions? Comments? Questions? Please help us out

wider base and a locking style pad would be the best approach

This and a better way to jack under smaller objects where you can't get a good swing on the Handle

sent from my IPod using the FRF app

a flatter base, instead of 3 legs, have a board under it or something. My street where i sometimes work, the jack sinks into the ashpalt due to the weight being concentrated in those 3 places instead of spread out

Articulating hydraulic outriggers with large steel feet to prevent tipping over and sinking. Like a back hoe.
