Nothing special about them IMO, they're just like Vatozone and Pep Boys....just another store that wastes my time and tells me they don't have/never heard of what I'm looking for.

My little farming town has an Auto Zone and a fairly recent O'Riley's. I prefer Auto Zone

accoding to this map on thier store locator(http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/fi/storelocator.oap)...they have NO store's from Maryland up through Maine..pretty much the northern half of the east coast,yet i hear/see ads for them all the time..very wierd. sorta like seeing/hearing ads for sonic when i lived in upstate ny,not a sonic for hundreds of miles ..now i has one 5 mins away

Probably a national commercial. I took a Business course in college, and long story short, it costs money to produce a commercial and sometimes there is no alternative so the stations have to "aire what they have". For instance, Super Bowl commercials are so expensive, and as a result, aire mostly national commercials. These are for the big Fortune 500 companies, such as Ford, AT/T, Google, Pepsi, etc., but during other programming, whether local news or sports, etc., there will be commercials for local dealerships, law firms, etc. that are seen in a particular area(s), like Greater Cleveland. Also, national broadcasts sometimes have commercials that are irrelevant to a particular area or areas because they are trying to hit such a wide market. For instance, my dad watches Nascar, and there would be commericals for Hardee's, Mr. Pibb, Pep Boys, and other companies that are not located here. It is a bonus for the retail giant because they can get their name out, but they also spend an absurd amount on the advertising. Newspaper advertising is similar because "not everyone", for instance, has a Wal-Mart right down the street, yet within so many miles of the nearest store, the company will still pay to advertise.

O'reillys is good, and havent had bad customer service yet.

Just found out that the video store that's less than half a mile from my house is closing and an Auto Zone is being put there in it's place.
