For those who don't know, Alex Karras is probably the most famous ex-football player ever. His first claim to fame was his time spent as a player of the Detroit Lions in the 1960's, but afterwards he turned to television and was an actor. I will remember him the most as the adoptive father on the hit-show Webster. On a side note, his real-life wife was his t.v. wife on that show. Anyway, the last decade has been a struggle since his health had deteriorated.
