A naked college freshman in Alabama was killed over the weekend after being shot by an officer of the university after a disturbance, and naturally many questions exist. First, why was the man naked? Second, why was he banging on the window of the security office, and creating a scene? Third, did he really present himself to be that "intimidating" considering his stature of being 135 lbs and 5' 7" despite previously being a high school wrestler? I feel that the last part is important because it was debated whether or not the "officer" needed to shoot and kill the person vs. subduing or using other non-lethal force, such as tazering. It is now being reported that the student not only took an illegal substance (LSD) earlier in the evening prior to the shooting, but he assaulted others in a parking lot just moments before the altercation with the officer. In addition, the local police department spokesman said that the video surveilance "is very powerful" because it shows the suspect chasing the officer for 50 feet, and it isn't until the suspect was within 5 feet that he was shot. Last, the university has regular officers vs. some colleges that have security guards and the officer allegedly wasn't armed until the end. The link below is the follow-up
