I carry a S&W .40 M&P Compact.

I absolutley love this gun, packs a nice punch, is very reliable, (have put close to 3000 rounds through it with no jams), very concealable, very customizeable.

i have shot nice rounds accurately from 35-40 yards with no problems.

Smith is very easy to deal with, as my family is a smith and wesson family.

I don't care for 9mm's iv'e heard some horror stories, and feel much more comfortable with both smiths i have (.357 mag 8' barrel and my .40c)

S&W has excellent customer service + warranty.

Got my SW40VE repaired recently, came back to me quicker than I thought it would, in perfect shape now. Gotta love the lifetime warranty.

I have not been a fan of Ruger semi-auto pistols which is why I have a Springfield XD in 9mm with a 4" barrel. Love this pistol and carry it everyday.

The SR9c gets my vote. I CC one every day, I have no problem concealing it in a Crossbreed Supertuck with just a t-shirt. I'm not a very big guy, 5' 8" and about 160-165lbs and it just disappears

I carry a glock 17 every day and it's a great gun but for a daily cc it is big. My dad has a 26 and it is perfect for a cc.
The S&W M&P's are very good guns too. I've shot 2 of them but never the smaller frames.
If you are set on one of the guns on your list I would go with the S&W but you should go somewhere that you can shoot each of your choices before buying. Each one will feel different in your hand and shoot differently so you should find the one that fits you best. For me it just happens to be the glocks.

I have a xdm .45 cal 5.25" comp. And for cc I was looking into the xds. Has anyone in here shot that yet? Tiny gun how does she handle?

No I haven't but one note for you. Short barrel .45s need a lighter bullet than models with a full length barrel or they will shoot way low. There just isn't enough barrel to get the bullet to optimum velocity with the standard 230 grain bullet.

I'm still experimenting with my Taurus PT145 but it seems 185 - 200 grain is best for a 3.3" barrel. Also, if you intend to shoot hollow points, you may need to run 500 or so round of ball ammo through it before you can use hollow points reliably. The ramp needs some polishing from the rounds loading from the magazine, so hollow points may hang up on you for a while.

Bought my first hand gun a few weeks ago on my 21st birthday, I had the Glock 19 on layaway for 3 months before I could finally pick it up! (Damn laws) anyways I've never been happier with the functionality of the G19 very very dependable and accurate too! Small enough to carry but big enough to be comfortable.
To the OP if you have the extra cash pick up a Gen 4 G19 and you won't be disappointed!

My main carry gun is a Sprindfield XD Compact in a .40. Not too many people mention 40 cal.

In MO we have open carry and I will carry my Glock 22 on my side all the time and that's my choice when I am going around the farm on the 4 wheeler.

I also have a charter arms (Shitty ass company but paid $50 with the receipt) 44 special I will carry here and there because of how light it is.

Thanks man. I'm going to pick one up here in a week or two. They aren't easy to fine the local gun shop said he ordered one will call when they get it. So I can't wait!
