Anyone else get that from people? Just wondering.
My two friends at work get it. One has a vette, another a Subi WRS STI (used to be a Honda guy), and I get it even though I haven't made any mods to my trucks or car.

But my wife wouldn't get it. I'd have to say it's a guy thing mostly. It's like hanging out in the garage, or sitting on the deck shooting the brreeze.
Sorry ladies who are on here may be the exception.

Yeah, I catch slack all the time, at work, home, from the fiance! She hates when i spend money on the truck! I dont complain when she drops like $20 on a book or something! She says "Its just a truck..." Then at work, they give me ahard time because of my cleaning rituals on the truck. My boss laughed because I took the time to take my wheels and tires off of the truck to clean the backsides and all. I dk, people just need to worry about themselves!

People aren't giving me crap yet, but when they do (and they will eventually!), that would be my response as well.

I get it a lot. My wife's not too bad, and handles it pretty well. It's the people at work and other friends that don't get it, or don't like Ranger, that I block from truck related postings on FB.

Like everyone's saying - everybody has something they're interested in, and most people have more than one. Not to mention that this community is great!

i live in chevy central (i hate this town)

everyone here thinks chevy is king and i get shit all the time for driving a Ford.

but....working in a parts store, i see a lot of newer chevys needing parts...while my 14 y/o truck keeps on tickin without a glitch

my 1st gen was the same way....21 y/o and all i ever did was put oil in it after i blew the rings in the 4th cylinder (my fault, not Fords)

but the chevys are also owned by the same redneck, inbred, alcoholic F-tards who go mudding with daddys STOCK truck and wonder why shit breaks all the time......its not the fact its a ford, its that they drive like idiots and beat the hell out of the vehicle until it breaks and when it does...oh its just a POS ford, thats why it broke....lets go drink a beer and bitch about it

Next time they rag on you for owning a Ford, be sure to remind them who didn't take any bailout money from Obama.

Yes I take shit all the time.

My condo complex has it in for me. That's what an engine swap in a 1 car garage gets you.

My car allows me to support myself. I had no idea what I wanted to do for a living out of HS. My car was responsible in putting me in the trade I am now.

My car would snort at me, stumble and piss me off sometimes. One good drive on a cool night would make all the bad times worth it. One smokey burnout or one pass down the track could make it all better.

One drive through an underpass purposly goosing the gas pedal to hear the V8 sound bounce off the walls forgives the 4 months chasing the cause of why it was killing u joints inexplicibly.

The looks you get driving the car. I love my Ranger but it would never get the stares, thumbs up, notes on the windshield and comments from hot chicks, old men, young kids, other car guys and even an ancient chinese dude.

It's more than just a hobby. The car infects you, settles in and becomes a part of who you are. To most of my friends I am in their contacts lists in their phones as "Cougar Steve".

The fact that I get second billing to my car even with my friends says lots.

If you have never heard of it.... check this film out. Make your friends or significant other watch it too. It might not sway them to the dark side, but it might help them understand.

I get it about my truck, not about the Chevelle though. Well the girl gets pissed about me being on drag racing forums and team chevelle.
