Ranger wave
My fiance has owned her jeep for a few months now and i noticed that the Wrangler community is stron on waving each other.
When you pass a fellow wrangler on the street you just wave, thumbs up, w-e just acknowledge the other rig. I thought it was so cool, that when i drive her jeep, I wave as well and they wave back.
We should do this, make it common practice that we wave. I know most wont wave back but for those who do it, it would be worth,
What do you guys think?

Re: Ranger wave
It was pretty common when I was in the mustang game. Nothing so far from my fellow ranger owners.

Yeah, and evidently the thread was posted within minutes of yours. I like how some members are so quick to point out a double-thread. It isn't like there aren't times (especially noobs) that a new thread was started w/o using the search feature first. I mean, how many threads on oil changes, dash tear-downs, Ranger ending production, etc. do we have?
Wait, the Ranger is ending production?
Does anyone see what I just did?

In that case we should just not post new threads cause if the argument is that we can just use the search engine, then we can just use google for everything. Problem solved.

Re: Ranger wave
If you want to look like a tool, go ahead. There is nothing special about a ranger. Nobody is going to wave back. They're all just going to wonder wtf is wrong with the wierdo waving at me.

It becomes cumbersome.
I just got tired of waving to every Harley fag on the road. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if it was a authentic wave. I know it was more, look at me on my shiny harley I'm badass. So i quit waving eventually. They wave to you on the road but if your parked somewhere and a Harley poser walks up, it's always "why you didn't buy a Harley?" sometimes they will throw in a nice bike first. I would always say cause I like to ride and rather spend more time riding then having it fixed.
I'm sure most ranger owners would be more authentic it just becomes annoying.

Lol say what you want but he's right, so many different types of people have rangers, waving would just make the other person think "wtf?"
With jeeps it's different, they've been doing it forever. If you have a jeep, you probably Offroad, and it's a jeep thing.
Now if it's a
Soccer mom jeep other jeeps (real jeeps) probably don't wave...

Re: Ranger wave
No.
Around here I'd be waving to 20 out every 100 vehicles.
There really isn't a culture, or cult built around the Ranger like there is certain models of Jeeps, VW Bugs, and I recall for a time Saturn owners used to wave at each other.
When I drove a '96 Riviera for my daily trans, I used to occasionally acknowledge, and get acknowledged from others driving a last generation Riviera, but that was because they are so far and few between.

So if you read the first part of what you wrote ... And then the last part of what you wrote ... Then isn't it safe to assume that what you're saying about rangers can also be said about Jeeps? "so many different types of people have Rangers"
