Idiot? You have been here long enough to know the rules here but in case you forgot what they are you can click this link here: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/misc.php?do=showrules and review them. Insults and personal attacks are not ok here to anyone, forum staff included. Its clear you have nothing to add to a conversation when you result to name calling to try and make a point.

I have a 98. Doesn't matter anyway, as my truck doesn't have CC.

Since you wont click the four links I posted that prove it I made it easy for you. This is a screen shot of the NHTSA website, the organization responsible for these recalls. (also the fourth link I posted in my last post)

Re: Glad to see GM in the news again
Go to switchfires.com right now and read the first list posted in their article at the top, "October 2009 Update, Ford recalls another 4.5 million vehicles due to fire risk" . 98-00's are not in there. But I just noticed they have another list to the right that does include 98-00 Rangers. Their screwup ain't my fault.
Either way, MY TRUCK DOESN'T HAVE CRUISE CONTROL. I know you didn't realize that, but you still made a bad assumption when you said my truck is included in that recall.

In any case, because of the government bail outs, our family won't buy any domestic products other than Ford. And this is #2 for Chrysler.

80-90s gm vehicles I probably wouldn't mind owning. Anything pre 80 that came out of the big three I wouldn't mind owning.

You need to actually read more than one sentance before making a conclusion, had you not skipped through the article and read it you would have seen the updated recall list on the right side of the page.
My point still stands regardless of whether or not your truck has CC. You guys throwing GM under the bus for a recall when many of our beloved Rangers as well as MILLIONS of other ford vehicles are included in such a massive recall is pretty hypocritical and silly. How does the old saying go, dont throw stones when you live in a glass house?
Im not a GM fan in the least bit so Im not in any way going to bat for them but fair is fair. Its hard to really make fun of another company for having a recall like this when the maker of your own vehicle has one of the biggest recalls ever on their record for a similar situation.

Whatever man. I prefaced this thread by saying I know recalls happen to all manufacturers so it really wasn't necessary for you to call me a hypocrite based on a bad assumption you made.

It is what it is man, but you had better make damn sure your facts are straight before you call someone a liar otherwise it just doesnt make you look good at all. I admit I assumed your truck had CC but it still doesnt take away from the point I was making or make me a liar in any way.

Says the guy who didn't make sure his facts were straight when he chimed in on this thread. It's not my fault that I clicked on one of your links and the first thing I see is something contradictory to your claim.

Well it is youre fault because you didnt actually read the article, you picked and chose bits and pieces and decided on skewed information instead of slowing down, reading, comprehending and then admitting that your were wrong and moving on. I had my facts right from the get go, only mistake I made was assuming you had CC. The facts you have been disputing even after faced with multiple examples to the contrary of your beliefs I have been right about from the first post I made in this thread.
I guess we can both pat ourselves on the back for making an already stupid thread even more stupid. Good job us!
